Winnipeg 的房子没什么降啊！

To be honest, Winnipeg is not a good place to live in because of terrible weather and relative low salary. Meanwhile I have to say the real estate here is expensive, although you can say it is determined by the market.

Our salaries are not shabby, but we have no plan to buy a house at a ridiculous price. If the price were going higher all the way, believe me, we would live in apartment for ever.

但是房介可不愿意看到有人这样说。

如果自己决定住在公寓里其实没有什么不好，不用费心房子和院子的维护，自己多很多自由的时光，很好。有些好的公寓我看比独立屋要好很多。
不过问题是公寓的房租不会一成不变，而且房子的价格在涨，公寓的租金没有理由不涨，毕竟有很多人要住定公寓等房市崩盘。市场嘛，就是供需。
也不谈温哥华多伦多，也不谈北京上海。说说小城市，温尼泊的房价是从几万块钱涨上来的，能跌回几万块钱去？很多国内的人从几年前就开始等房价跌，等到现在还是没等到。
我其实很赞成楼上两位的观点，不过我也是因为公寓房租涨的离谱才搬出来的，结果搬出来发现涨的更离谱，比房价涨的还多。咱们大部分中国人基本上还是处于扎根的初级阶段，还没到奋斗的制高点，无论有房无房，都是希望房价跌的，没房的可以买房，有房的可以换房。但是问题是价格雪崩的可能性是微乎其微的。如果有买房计划的还是要买房，犹豫的还是在犹豫。我看如果房价大跌，犹豫的人还是不会买，买涨不买跌嘛。

from statistical point of view, for this I don\'t know
but from houses for sale around the area I live, usually get sold within a week and sold price can go as much as 40k higher than listing price

The only thing i can say you are lucky living that area. One neighborhood house price hard to represent the whole property market though. Even i just brougt the house last month and i don not want to see the house price drop down in frankly. But i have to admit the trend is going against me now.
BTW, I got the deal lower than the owner asked for.

你租房子，租金就更能反映。同样的公寓，区好，租金高。
