Preparing your taxes? If so, you should know that Intuit will soon be offering a Free Version of QuickTax Online. We're told this should be available on February 10, 2009.
You qualify for the QuickTax FREE Online Edition if you:
Have a T4 or a T4A
Don't have RRSPs, charitable donations or medical expenses (that is, you only receive standard federal & provincial deductions)
Don't have investment income
Don't have self-employment income
Have other income, like pension or money from tips
It should become available in February 2009, so check back soon!
Note that as in previous years, if your household income is less than $20,000, you will also be file a tax return using QuickTax Online for free. You'll be able to prepare your 2008 return and and file it online with NETFILE (which should be available on February 9). You can find more information at the bottom of the QuickTax homepage. |
