Located in McAuley, Manitoba, Great Harvest operates over 10,000 Acrecultivated land and 5,000 Acre pasture land. We are currently looking to fillthe position of bookkeeper. This is an immediate full time position and canoffer the successful candidate a satisfying career with a progressive company.Starting compensation will be related to experience. Benefits with paidone-month vacation in the winter season.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Proficienton computer and word skills
• Purchasesupplies and equipment as authorized by management
• Monitoroffice supply levels and reorder as necessary
• Tagand monitor fixed assets
• Paysupplier invoices in a timely manner
• Payany debt as it comes due for payment
• Monitordebt levels and compliance with debt covenants
• Ensurethat receivables are collected promptly
• Recordcash receipts and make bank deposits
• Conductperiodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Issuefinancial statements
• Dealingwith email enquiries
• Provide clerical and administrativesupport to management as requested Job Requirements Include:
• BasicComputer skills (Excel, Word, Scan)
• Stay at the farm (McAuley)
• Legalwork in Canada
• aknowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
• atleast two years of experience Preference will be given tocandidates with a working knowledge of the accounting software package, such asquickbook, simple accounting, Ag expert analysis.
